Below are all the current personal training services available through Bumps Lumps and Star Jumps. If you do not find what you are looking for please feel free to make contact and let me know.

Pre Natal Training with Birth Preparation

Exercising during pregnancy will improve:

  • heart and lung function improving stamina for labour/delivery
  • relieve aches and pains
  • improve circulation to help prevent leg cramps and swollen ankles
  • prevent or treat gestational diabetes
  • reduce stress, increase energy and promote better sleep

The exercise sessions are 60 minutes long and are designed around the expectant woman’s needs, level of fitness and where she is in her pregnancy.

In the final trimester, sessions after the 35 week mark will also focus on birth preparation and time is provided for 15 minutes of guided meditation.


Post Natal Training

Training can commence once a mum has had her 6-8 week check up with her GP or medical team and cleared for exercise (unless birthing was via C-section which requires longer recovery time).

A full consultation is completed to assess the current function of the core and pelvic floor and the woman’s postural alignment. Based on the findings, a bespoke training program is designed which will bring the woman back into full functional mode alleviating any aches and pains and keeping her fit and healthy for her role as a mother.

All exercises are designed with the pelvic floor and core in mind and are specific to typical motherhood movement patterns such as tidying toys up from the floor, lifting or lying their child into a cot, or walking with a pram and getting it up and down steps.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and will involve releases and stretches to relieve  tight achy muscles, pelvic floor friendly exercises and strength training to help keep mum fit for function.


Adapting Training for the Peri to Post Menopausal Woman

This training package encompass all the lifestyle changes that are needed to help make the journey of entering or transitioning through the menopause as smooth and as comfortable as possible for the woman.

The exercises selected help work on:

  • improving muscle tone and strength
  • increase bone strength to minimise the risk of osteoporosis
  • improve metabolic rate which aids in fat loss
  • improve posture and gait which leads to better connection to the core and pelvic floor
  • improve total wellbeing

Food diaries are requested and reviewed, with recommendations made where necessary. Massages and meditation can also be included to allow for some quiet time for the mind and relieve tension from the muscles (See the ‘Bespoke Packages’ tab for options regarding this).

All sessions are 60 minutes in length.


Recovery Training after Hysterectomy, Breast Cancer or Other Surgical Procedures for Female Gynaecological Health Concerns

We approach every single client’s needs based on the illness they have and the treatment they are receiving or received.

The exercises selected are designed to improve flexibility, strength and core function.

Packages can also include massage therapy, to help free areas of the body that have either been restricted by surgery or by guarding any pain or discomfort experienced during the process. (See the ‘Bespoke Packages’ tab for options regarding this)

Time is also given to discuss self-care strategies, planning for life at home and how to adapt and also on the best nutritional choices to help aid recovery.

All sessions are 60 minutes in length.

The below prices are split into clinical and mobile options.

60 mins – 1 session – £55, 5 sessions – £260, 10 sessions – £500

Mobile option prices:

60 mins – 1 session – £65,  5 sessions – £310,  10 sessions – £600


How it works?

If you would like to arrange some personal training sessions please fill in the contact form found  in the ‘Contact’ page of the website.

I will then contact you to see which option suits your needs. Please note that I operate a child free policy as you deserve to have time for yourself to be able to enjoy your sessions without distractions.

If you select the mobile option (area restrictions apply – please contact me to see if I cover your area), I must be sure your property is suitable as we will need  room to move safely and comfortably.

Once the best option has been selected I will email you a health questionnaire and terms and conditions of the service which will need to be filled in and sent back prior to the sessions taking place. I will then arrange an appointment where a physical assessment will take place which helps me establish at what level the training can begin. The assessment covers posture, some manual therapy checks and a check for diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal wall).

Payment can be made either via BACS transfer prior to treatment or via debit or credit card payment on the day.
